The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Parade of Homes with an awards banquet at the JW Ihilani Resort recently.

In addition to the great food, drinks and company, the event also honored visionary industry leaders who changed the topography of the islands and have made a significant contribution to Hawaii communities.

This year marked the first year of an exciting new program, the Building Industry Legendary Achievement Awards. The 2006 winners are: 2006 Legendary Developer, Henry J. Kaiser; 2006 Legendary Contractor, Harold Hicks; 2006 Legendary Architect and 2006 Legendary Association Partner, James Pappas.
