The gates swung open at Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa recently for the annual Boots On The Beach.

The American Cancer Society fundraiser featured a feast fit for cowboys, entertainment by Dita Holifield and Red Handed, games and a silent auction. The evening also honored state Sen. Rosalyn Baker with the 2008 Patti Schuler Recognition Award. Baker is a cancer survivor, a lifelong healthcare advocate and a member of the American Cancer Society Hawaii board.
