Catholic Charities Hawaii presented its 10th annual Island Treasures of Hawaii celebration recently at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, hosted by the Diocese of Honolulu. The event paid tribute to about 100 exemplary parish volunteers throughout the state.

Volunteers were honored for sharing their talents and gifts through liturgy, social ministry, youth ministry and other parish or organization programs. Honorees were joined by friends, fellow parishioners and family at this special event.

Catholic Charities Hawaii works to help those in need regardless of religious, social and economic backgrounds.
