Diamond Head Theatre’s Spring Benefit
Diamond Head Theatre celebrated Broadway’s Golden Years,” the 1950s, with its spring benefit Come As We Were,” at Waialae Country Club recently.
The 1950s was the first decade of DHT musicals. Guests were encouraged to dress accordingly and many did, with pirates and wenches from Treasure Island, duos of star-crossed lovers from Romeo and Juliet, and stepsisters and the fairy godmother from Cinderella.
The evening featured a spectacular show directed by John Rampage, and altogether the event raised more than $65,000 for DHT productions and programs.
