Fall Shoes at Macy’s
Got a pair of sexy shoes? Well, here’s your chance to show them off and possibly win a new pair of designer shoes.
Macy’s popular Shoe Diva Event and Sexy Shoe Contest takes place Thursday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Macy’s Ala Moana. Stop by and view the latest collections for fall, including designs by some of the season’s hottest designers — Betsey Johnson, Bruno Magli, Calvin Klein, Coach, Cole Haan, Donald J Pliner, Max Studio, Michael Kors, Stuart Weitzman, Tahari and Via Spiga.
According to Macy’s, there are six trends for shoes this fall:
Past present patent (patent is the hottest trend this fall), strap in and buckle up (anything with a buckle detail or lace), up and over (boots that go above the knee or boots that have a fold over at the top), round and round (anything with a rounded toe), star studded (stud/hardware detailing), and stroke of midnight (evening).
Key styles include platform heels, granny boots, tall shaft boots and evening shoes in shiny patents, satins and velvet.
Also making a comeback are Mary Janes and pumps but in patent and distressed leather embeliished with metal buckles and contrast stitching. And get feminine with velvet ballet flats and round-toe pumps embellished with satin bows and crystal beads.
Macy’s Ala Moana also recently opened a new Coach section within the women’s shoe department expanding their selection of Coach footwear.
During the Shoe Diva Event, customers who spend $250 or more will receive a $50 Macy’s gift card. There will also be hors d’oeuvres and complimentary cocktails provided by Absolute Apeach Vodka.
The winner of the Sexy Shoe Contest will receive a pair of designer shoes of her choice with a retail value of up to $200. Second and third place winners will receive prices valued at $100 and $50 respectively.
The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required to attend and enter the contest. For more information or to RSVP, call 945-6427.
