The Hawaii People’s Fund was “Fired Up For Justice” at its recent annual dinner held at the Japanese Cultural Center. The event honored the work of Ah Quon McElrath, a living treasure of progressive activism. For nine decades, she has spoken truth to power, honored human dignity, supported workers’ rights and amplified the voices of the poor.
