The undead and assortment of inspired creeps and cuties came a-haunting early at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Sept. 30 marked the opening of the center’s Haunted Lagoon, drawing local celebs and VIPs to join the eager costumed masses for spooky canoe rides featuring a cast of more than 100, state-of-the-art special effects, 3-D effects and animatronics.
