Hawaii Foodbank Kickoff
The Hawaii Foodbank’s 17th annual Food Drive Kickoff Breakfast was held recently at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom.
The event is intended to help companies and individuals stage food drives. Attendees watched a video titled How To Do A Food Drive.
All of this is preparation for the annual Food Drive on Saturday, April 22. At locations around town on that day, the goal is to collect 550,000 pounds of food and $425,000 to help feed the thousands of Hawaii residents who require assistance in providing food for themselves and their families. The Foodbank currently serves about 118,000 different people each week.
