In the tradition of Queen Kapi‘olani’s charitable fundraisers, The Friends of ‘Iolani Palace hosted A Royal Garden Party, held recently on the palace grounds. An intimate group of 300 people attended the event, which raised funds for palace operational expenses. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous buffet, a range of musical entertainment, and a silent auction featuring select Hawaiiana and collectible items. In response to numerous requests for an encore Royal Garden Party, The Friends are planning one for September 2007. To be added to the mailing list, call 522-0822.
