The Salvation Army held its annual Partners in Community Service Awards banquet last month at the Kahala Hotel. The event honors outstanding individuals and organizations for their community service. This year’s awardees were Bank of Hawaii; Kanu Hawaii; director of the Dept. of Hawaiian Home Lands, Micah Kane, and Mike Wood, who helped build Ho’opono O Na Kamali’i, which aids neglected children.
