Sunday At The Sony Open
MidWeek and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin hosted a “skybox” at the scenic, seaside 17th hole at Waialae Country Club during the PGA Tour Sony Open in Hawaii.
Perched above the green of the dramatic par-3 17th hole, friends, clients and employees of the two papers enjoyed four days of great golf while being treated to a variety of food and drink. The photos here were shot during the final round on Sunday when David Toms stormed to his first victory in Hawaii.
Money paid by corporations for skyboxes goes to support local non-profit organizations through the Friends of Hawaii Charities, which this year hit the $1 million mark in charitable giving.
