The American Heart Association’s Hawaiians At Heart Concert
Kapono’s and the American Heart Association recently held a benefit concert to honor all who have been affected by heart disease and stroke.
“Hawaiians at Heart” featured performances by Henry Kapono Ka‘aihue, Amy Hanaiali‘i Gilliom, Frank DeLima, Jordan Segundo, Imai & Friends, Mahealani Keale, the Surfers, Nalani Olds and Bill Kaiwa.
The event raised $7,000; the proceeds will fund vital heartrelated research, public and professional education and community service programs in Hawaii.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of both men and women; stroke is the No. 3 killer.
