A gourmet fast-food hot dog stand in Kakaako? We’re totally there. The concept is great- hot dogs and sausage dogs, but refashioned for the local, sophisticated palate. The menu features “classics” - Hank’s Frank (Chicago Vienna all-beef) and Polish - and “haute dogs” - Portuguese (kim chee, Kukui sausage, mustard, grilled onion), Chili Dog, Brat, Chorizo, Andouille, Chicken, Seafood Sausage, and Duck and Foie Gras. There is also a “No-Dog” for those who don’t want the dog. And if that’s not enough, Hank’s offers fresh-cut fries and onion rings with tasty dipping sauces, like curried ketchup, garlic aioli and wasabi tobiko crème. Doggone it, these dogs are good.
