Clinique High Definition Lashes Brush Then Comb Mascara
Sephora $14
SMART got a free sample of this mascara and decided to give it a whirl. All mascaras are pretty much created equal, right? Wrong. This mascara has a unique wand concept: brush on one side, comb on the other. First you brush the mascara on your lashes and then, with a small flick of the wrist, you run the comb side over them. That flick of the wrist makes all the difference. While the brush-side coats with color, the comb-side creates the most amazing separation and definition. We literally had to wipe some of it off our lashes because the look was so dramatic, and we were just running errands, after all. For serious lashes that almost look fake (in a totally good way), this mascara is just what we were looking for.
Aveda Outer Peace Cooling Masque
Aveda Ala Moana $35
Stress, breakouts, too many late nights ... sometimes your face bears the brunt of all of these things and ends up looking a little red and irritated. Enter Aveda’s Outer Peace line of products. While many of them are formulated to treat acne flare-ups, the Cooling Masque is great for skin that’s just a little stressed, whether from environmental factors or actual acne. Your skin will immediately look less red and irritated; use it once a week. Like all Aveda products, it’s created with pure plant extracts like rose geranium and organic lemon tree. It’s the perfect gift for your skin post-holidays.
