Admission: $30
www.myspace.com/artistsawake
ARTISTS AWAKE!, a collaborative event that brings together the original, live and innovative talents of local artists in Hawaii with Aloha Medical Mission, is not just your average fundraiser. Event co-creators Katherine Mills and Natalie Parker aim to support human interaction through live performance, which they believe has the power to educate, inspire and give aid through similar exchanges of compassion. ARTISTS AWAKE! seeks to raise consciousness in Hawaii of the travesties affecting the world. Proceeds will go toward Aloha Medical Mission’s trip to Myanmar in October, led by Dr. Carl Lum, and disaster relief funds. The evening will include artwork for sale provided by Artists Up and Coming, pupus, cocktails, a fashion show and original work by artists and designers such as Sebastien Hughes, Rachel Ha’o, Will Giles, Katherine Emily Mills & Clint Okayama, Ted Ganung, MB Inc., La Pistil, Mechakawa Vintage, The Deadbeats, and live art created by Fern Santos.

WHITEHORSE COUTURE AT BAMBOO SKY
Spreading hope and love through its comfy, graphic T-shirts and tanks is Whitehorse Couture. Hippie icons, Native American symbols and the California coast inspire designers Emily Faulstich and Kim Gordon to live happily (ever after) - and hopefully the rest of the world, too. Sun-kissed lips, dream catchers, smiley faces and animal print details add retro cool to fringe halters and neon tees. Loose fits and unexpected cuts make these stylish tops versatile for fun in the sun or rocking the night scene. Find new Whitehorse Couture items at Bamboo Sky boutique. And don’t fret; wearing these pieces doesn’t require any equestrian training, just an addiction to ageless fashion.
