A Pink Promise, a temporary store at Ward Warehouse opening Sept. 18 to Oct. 16, offers shoppers and breast cancer survivors a new opportunity to support the fight against breast cancer. The store is located on the second floor next to Buffet 100 and offers a variety of “pink” merchandise with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Hawaii.

“We wanted to make these pink products available to anyone who wants to support breast cancer (awareness) and get the Komen name out there,” says Rodney Kwock, who is co-chairing this unique fundraising project with Sheryl Chun. “We want to paint Hawaii pink.”

A Pink Promise opens its doors at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

In addition to selling pink merchandise, A Pink Promise will host numerous community events at Ward Warehouse.
