This fall, start the school year right with a wardrobe that will sure turn heads on campus. The it list, according to Macy’s West: fitted jackets paired with denim or gauchos, shrunken blazers, decorated denim, embroidered denim, embellished skirts, embellished tops, western-inspired tops, crochet, shrunken sweaters and shrugs layered over a long tank, crop pants, lace details, fur trim, layered necklaces, long flowing skirts, jean and military inspired jackets, and western boots.
“Cultural fusion is the global fashion direction for fall 2005,” says Bill Bigler, Macy’s West vice president and fashion director. “It’s as though the world was your market; first discovering, then blending the unique embroideries, crochets, buttons and embellishments.
