Christian Dior, one of the top Haute Couture fashion houses in the world, has expanded its flagship boutique at Ala Moana Center, featuring Dior’s latest collection of spring ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes and accessories designed by John Galliano.
“We have had an enormously successful business in a small but prominent location at the Ala Moana Center for many years,” says Marla Sabo, president and COO of Christian Dior Couture USA. “We had outgrown the space. When the opportunity arose to expand, we took it.”
The newly expanded store will also offer, for the first time, Dior fine jewelry’s whimsical pieces designed by Victoire de Castellane. And in celebration of the grand re-opening of the Dior boutique, a limited edition Lady Dior 1950s print handbag is being offered exclusively to the customers of Ala Moana.
“Dior is known for sophisticated, feminine style with an infusion of urban attitude,” adds Sabo. “(This season) there is a return to feminine, chic dressing. At Dior you will see an emphasis on a new silhouette, suiting, exquisite detailing and pretty florals.
“Luxury bags have become much more functional. For example, you will see the most luxurious crocodile bag with the finest craftsmanship and it will also have functional compartments which give it a bit of practicality for everyday life.”
The Ala Moana boutique is located on the mall level near center stage. There’s also a Christian Dior boutique in Waikiki.
