DUKE’S OCEANFEST

The Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation Duke’s OceanFest happens this week in Waikiki with a variety of events, including the Roxy Jam Honolulu autograph session Aug. 19 at 4:30 p.m. with professional surfers Jennifer Smith, Kelia Moniz, Crystal Dzigas and others at the Beach Services Kiosk fronting the Shore Bird Restaurant.
On Aug. 22 at 9 a.m., there will be a scattering of flowers in honor of Duke Kahanamoku on the beach fronting the Outrigger Reef on the Beach hotel. On Aug. 23 at 6 p.m., it’s The Great Hawaiian 105 KINE Luau at the Waikiki Shell featuring ono Hawaiian food and music by Cecilio and Kapono.
Also on Aug. 23, and again on Aug. 24, it’s the Outrigger Sunset on the Beach at Kuhio Beach starting at 5 p.m. with food booths, live entertainment and movies beginning once darkness falls.
