The store - located on the mall level, Diamond Head end, makai side - features a sophisticated interior with bold walls and bamboo flooring. The choice of materials is a subtle reminder of Alfred Dunhill’s motoring heritage with dark walnut, brass, bronze and soft stitched leather.

“Every element has been thought out to create a store that allows visitors to browse freely and discover the world of Alfred Dunhill,” says Richard Hawes, president of Gemkell Hawaii LLC, Alfred Dunhill’s franchise partner in Hawaii and Guam. “We will have everything but the motor.”

The store offers a full range of Alfred Dunhill products, including select menswear, leather goods, shoes, timepieces, cufflinks and accessories.

The autumn/winter 2005 business collection reflects the dapper, flamboyant atmosphere of London’s Jermyn Street in the 1970s, while the sportswear collection focuses on using technical and performance oriented fabrics for functionality. And this season’s casual ready-to-wear collection features a color pallet derived from iconic racing cars such as British racing green, Ferrari red and Jaguar Westminster blue.

“We are excited about opening a store at Ala Moana Center because it is one of the largest malls in the Pacific Rim, and we will have the opportunity to service customers from all over the world,” adds Hawes. “In addition, we’ll be able to offer a full range of Alfred Dunhill products to the residents of Hawaii.”

Established in London in 1893, Alfred Dunhill has more than 150 stores across the world including 35 stores in Japan and flagship stores in London, New York, Paris and Hong Kong. For more information, call 951-0708.
