Goodbye summer. Hello fall.

Looking outside, you might not be able to tell that it’s the beginning of fall. But a trip to the mall and you’ll see that there’s definitely a change in seasons.

“This fall, look for earth tones - brown, brown and more brown paired with light pastels - turquoise, pink and light green,” says Gilda Minassian, owner of Calista by Cotton Cargo. “Also, interesting embellishment in sequins, beads or embroidery are all the rage! And layering is the look this season. You’ll see tank tops and shirts longer, with short jackets, wraps or sweaters layered on top. Jewelry is even layered - chokers paired with long beaded strands.”

Pictured here are some of the hottest fashions for fall available at Kahala Mall. From its early beginnings as Waialae Shopping Center in the 1960s, the popular East Oahu mall has grown to become a fully enclosed, climate controlled shopping center with over 100 stores and an 8-theatre movie complex.

So, if you haven’t already, make room in your closet, and welcome in fall.
