Wednesday - July 27, 2005
Fashionista’s Market launches its first designer sample sale Saturday, Aug. 13 and Sunday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ocean Club. Fashionista’s Market, founded by sisters Emi Hart and Alyssa Fung, is a quarterly shopping event made for fashion-forward women looking for designer deals. There will be more than 40 designers featuring women’s contemporary apparel at up to 75 percent off retail, as well as complimentary makeovers and mimosas.
“Fashion has truly come of age in Hawaii and we really think that this is the next big step,” says Hart.
Featured brands include Frankie B, Seven For All Mankind, Citizens For Humanity, Lucky Brand Jeans, La Blanca Swimwear, Blue Cult, Free People, Dianne Von Furstenberg, Barely Brooke/Studio Italia, Juicy Couture, Victoria’s Secret, Earl Jeans, Von Dutch, Miss Sixty, White House/Black Market, Arden B, Guess/Marciano, AG Jeans, and more.
“We’re giving women an opportunity to find great clothing, but at the same time give them a mini-getaway with their girlfriends,” adds Fung.
Admission fee to the event is $3 for registered members (RSVP by Thursday, Aug. 11 at http://www.fashionistasmarket.com), and $7 at the door. All door proceeds will be donated to the Hawaii chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The first 50 women through the door each day will receive a Fashionista’s Market goody bag. To receive an invite and RSVP, visit www.fashionistasmarket.com or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
You can also get a sneak peek at some of the designer bargains available during a midnight fashion show at the Piranha Room held at Ocean Club on Saturday, July 30, co-hosted by photographer Russell Tanoue.
