It’s Black Friday in August.

At least that’s how event organizer Nancy Cheung describes the Hawaii Super Sale event Aug. 1214 at Neal S. Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall.

Even Santa will be in attendance at the three-day shopping event with presents to give away: eight five-night Las Vegas packages for two and cash prizes every hour. “The Hawaii Super Sale is where smart shoppers get great deals on quality products and service,” explains Cheung, 23. “Shoppers can expect to find apparel, shoes, accessories, electronics, home and garden products, health and beauty, kitchenware, pet products, crafts, gifts, ono packaged foods, toys, tools and much more.” Working in the gemstone jewelry business since she was 14 and becoming a business entrepreneur at 18 with Rainbow Jade & Gemstones, Cheung wanted to create a new income source for vendors (such as herself) to help businesses. “I thought a new themed event in Hawaii would also be interesting for shoppers,” she adds. “Nowadays, shoppers are looking for quality products at a great deal.”

Presented by Oceanic Time Warner Cable and Vacations Hawaii, the Hawaii Super Sale is open to the public. Admission is $4 per person, free for children age 7 and under and seniors age 65 and over, and a military discount is available. Event hours are Friday, 5-10 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.5 p.m.
