Japanese Womans Society Honors Takeo

The Japanese Women’s Society Foundation honors internationally renowned designer Takeo at its 31st annual fashion show luncheon to be held Sunday, May 7, at the Sheraton Waikiki.
Takeo, known for his classic yet feminine designs, has created gowns for countless celebrities and beauty queens including Jennifer Love Hewett, Brook Lee and Carolyn Sapp. His designs are also a favorite among Hawaii’s first ladies and community leaders.
“Takeo is a very dear friend,” says Cathy Foy-Mahi, fashion show co-chair. “He is such a positive person, always smiling, and that feeling reflects in his design. Each outfit makes you feel totally comfortable, confident and glamorous. Takeo is a true treasure.”
Tickets to the fashion show luncheon are $75 for a gold table seat; $55 for a silver table seat. There also will be boutique vendors open at 9 a.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon, followed by the fashion show.
