Kaneohe resident Chantha Phanthanouvong is addicted to shopping and loves good company, so she decided to combine her two passions and started Knotty Kompany, a traveling purse party.

“Our purse parties concept allows us to keep the prices low and the ladies fashionable all year-round,” explains Phanthanouvong, a first-generation LaoAmerican. “With a low overhead, we’re able to pass the savings down to our customers, and shopping has never been so convenient when we bring it right to your doorstep. Book a party, we’ll be right in your living room, and the host receives a portion of the sale to go toward free merchandise.”

Phanthanouvong also brings her purses, which are on a summer clearance sale, to various venues and fashion events. Next on the calendar is the First Lady second annual Fashion Expo backto-school shopping event Aug. 12 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Fresh Cafe (831 Queen St.). Open to the public, 18 and over welcome. Presale tickets are $20, $25 at the door. For more information, visit KnottyKompany.com, “like” their facebook page or call 541-7209.
