Lidia Fashion Show
Wednesday - November 15, 2006
Designer Lidia Shin presented a charity fashion show Oct. 21 at the Sheraton Waikiki as a kick-off to the launch of her clothing line in Seoul, South Korea.
A native of Korea, Lidia immigrated to the United States in 1990, and a year later opened her first boutique at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Gradually she added shops in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and New York, and will soon open a store in Korea, where she already has an office. She’s also considering a location in Hawaii.
Shin’s designs are simple and consist of a lot of suit pieces and sheer fabrics. Her clientele ranges from business women in their 30s and up.
Featured here are photos from the recent Lidia Fashion Show, which included modeling by celebrity Korean soap opera stars Shin Hyun Joon and Tak Jae Hoon. All clothing items pictured are priced at about $1,500 each.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the University of Hawaii Foundation, the Hawaii International Film Festival and Ulu Pono.
