Local fashion designer Linda Iki unveils her 2010 spring collection at a Mother’s Day trunk show at Macy’s Ala Moana Center from April 29 to May 1 during store hours.

Iki first introduced her hand-loomed knit outfits in 1993 and has since enjoyed a loyal and growing following.

Iki, who will be available to measure and fit customers at the upcoming show, offers versatile designs that transition easily from office to evening wear, and are low-maintenance and travel-friendly.

Virtually every piece is hand-loomed by Iki herself, and the pieces are now crafted of lighter-weight yarns consisting of 80 percent wool and 20 percent viscose (rayon). Also, in keeping with the growing trend of “going green,” Iki has started to use a bamboo backing in her pants for a softer, more luxurious feel.
