To most people, Sears is known as a national chain department store, but stop in any Sears in Hawaii and you’ll find more than a dozen brands that you wouldn’t find in any Sears store on the Mainland.

“We have an assortment of local products such as Hawaiian jewelry and apparel,” says Phil Chang, district advertising manager for Sears. “We have a huge selection of muumuu, and apparel by top local manufacturers, including Kahala, Tori Richard, Go Barefoot, You & Me Naturally, Strawberry Guava and Mamo. We also have tabis for fishermen in Hawaii and even rice cookers, which they don’t carry on the Mainland.

“We’re the only department store retailer that has everything from hammers to night gowns, an optical shop, a hair salon, and even a ticket counter for Hawaiian Airlines. We have something for everyone, from the latest electronic games and TVs to appliances and apparel.”

Sears has extended holiday hours as well as early opening specials every Saturday leading up to Christmas. On Oahu, Sears is located at Ala Moana Center, Pearlridge and Windward Mall.
