Moopiland

When Honolulu couple Keiko and Arne Knudson welcomed their first daughter, Tabatha, into the world, they were always on the lookout for cute, unique clothes in which to dress her. As time passed, they found that it made more sense for them to make the clothes themselves. It started with a T-shirt here, a flowered dress there, and before they knew it they had designed an entire wardrobe for her.
Others started noticing and asking where the clothes were from. So in 2003 they launched Moopiland, a collection of cute clothes and accessories for children and adults - all handmade in Hawaii.
“Moopi was the first nickname we gave our daughter,” explains Keiko about the company name. “We don’t know why, but she just looked like a cute little moopi. So, we decided to create a special place for her - Moopiland, home to everything sweet and cute.”
Moopiland can be found at Cupcake Boutique in Ward Warehouse, Global Village in Kailua, Makana Mother & Baby in Kahala and Split Obsession in Ala Moana Center and Koko Marina Center. For more information, visit www.moopiland.com
