Last August, Windward Mall announced plans for a $23 million renovation and revitalization project, as well as the addition of new retailers and restaurants, some which have already opened for business.

Recently, Windward Mall welcomed retailers d.e.m.o., Lids, Sanrio, Journeys, Cinnamon Girl, Clearwire, Relax Yourself, It’s a Bling Thing and Auto Detail Magician. And popular local brand Ainokea is relocating to a permanent space on the upper level near the mall theaters next month. New eateries have also opened their doors — Farrell’s, Surf City Squeeze and Ruby Tuesday. And the highly anticipated opening of IHOP is scheduled for Feb. 5.

“With all the excitement of the renovation and new stores, there’s a new buzz in the air, and we’re looking forward to the completion of the renovation this fall,” says Jonathan Kim, Windward Mall general manager. “And the timing couldn’t be better, as we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of Windward Mall this year.”

Also, a full-size Borders with a Starbucks cafe inside is expected to open this summer, moving into the empty space located downstairs of Regal Theaters, which was vacated by JCPenney.

Featured here are the latest fashions from d.e.m.o., Cinnamon Girl, Journeys, Lids and Ainokea. For more information, call 235-1143 or visit www.windwardmall.com
