Wednesday - May 17, 2006
The 9th Annual New Baby Expo happens this weekend (May 20 and 21) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Neal Blaisdell Center featuring more than 150 booths and countless baby products and services, including the latest styles in maternity, baby and keiki clothes and accessories.
“Over 10,000 people attend our New Baby Expo each May,” says Anna Lau-Parish of Family Expositions. “We have all the latest to keep babies safe, comfortable and hip. And great products for mom and dad too.” Among the many exciting products this year are the Giggle Bug Toddler Track, the Ju-Ju-Be diaper bag and the Bumbleride ‘Cadillac” of strollers.
Festivities include an Acupuncture to Relieve Nausea demonstration by CMC Medi-Spa (Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m.), a simple sign-language lesson by Keiki Signs (Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.), a Love & Sweet Peas Maternity Fashion Show (Saturday at noon), and special appearances by Curious George & The Man with the Yellow Hat.
There will also be the popular Baby Crawling Contest on Saturday at 1 p.m., and Hawaii’s Largest Baby Shower for all expectant moms on Sunday at 1 p.m. Admission to the expo is $4.50 at the door (free for children age 5 and under). For more information, call 239-2229 or visit www.newbabyexpo.com
