Meet the Roxy Surf Team at a special Roxy Surf Team autograph session this Thursday (Aug. 23) from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Waikiki Beach (fronting the Shore Bird Restaurant at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach Hotel, 2169 Kalia Road).
Roxy Surf Team members Kassia Meador, Kelia Moniz, Crystal Dzigas and current world champion Jennifer Smith will be signing autographs and handing out free DVD copies of the Roxy surf movie, Shimmer.
This special event kicks off the Roxy Jam Honolulu presented by Schick Quattro for Women to be held Aug. 23 to 25 at Queens Beach in Waikiki as part of the Duke’s OceanFest in honor of surfing legend Duke Kahanamoku.
The event is the first-ever women’s longboarding competition sanctioned by the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) to be held on the Hawaiian Islands and is the first event of the 2007/2008 ASP Women’s World Longboard Tour.
The autograph session is free, and open to the public. $5 valet parking is available at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach.
