Vertical Junkies invite you to a fashion show featuring Philanthropy by Madison and Company at the O Lounge Aug. 20 at 10:30 p.m.
The show, called Reccessionista, offers a look at how to “dress fab for less.” There also will be gift certificate giveaways and a complimentary brow bar with professional reshaping from Simply Summer, “The Queen of Brow Waxing.”
Philanthropy by Madison and Co. is a boutique located in Kailua (337 Uluniu St. Suite 101) owned by local girl Colette Nicole “Nikki” Watanabe.

A former flight attendant for Hawaiian and Aloha airlines, Watanabe says she opened her store because Kailua needed a “fun and hip store where friends could come together to shop and hang out.”
The store carries women’s and children’s apparel and accessories, as well as bath and body products, gift and home items and a soon-to-arrive makeup line.
Brands include local designers Roberta Oaks and Golden Child Jewelry, as well as popular national lines such as Frankie B. and Quiksilver’s new boutique line of denim.
The Aug. 20 event is open to anyone age 18 and older. Admission is $10, or free for ladies before 11 p.m.
