Carly Cais aims to merge edgy with flirty and fun with sophisticated with her newest clothing line Riveted Clothing & Accessories.
“Each ready-to-wear garment has unique styling options or hard embellishments that distinguish it from the every day,” she says. “And our jewelry utilizes semi-precious stones and metals. Our pieces inspire the wearer to express her own individual personality.”
Born and raised in New Jersey, Cais moved to Japan at 11 and then went to high school in Virginia Beach. She went on to study film, Japanese language and animation, and worked in retail sales, as a designer, seamstress, wardrobe consultant and graphic designer before starting her dream clothing company.
“After participating in the national fashion design competition Express Your Style 2007 in New York, I returned to Honolulu and decided that on the heels of that, I should launch the clothing line I had always dreamed of,” says Cais, 28. “People wanted to know what I was going to do next, and I’d already had requests to purchase the dress I had made for the competition, so I didn’t want to disappoint.”
