Sonia Daniel House of Style celebrates its fifth anniversary with a new store at Ward Centre that’s double the size of its former Ward Village boutique.
“I describe our store as Monte Carlo at affordable Hawaii resort living,” says Anthony Daniel, business partner. “We just want people to enjoy clothes as much as we do. Our looks are European, but affordable and wearable.
“Also, you can come in here and you can get the total look. That’s our mission - you walk in and we can dress you from head to toe.”
Sonia Daniel carries men’s and women’s wear, handbags, shoes and accessories. The store’s owner, Sonia Nakada, is a Tokyo bossanova singer currently working on her 37th CD.
“The current trend for men is color, color, color, and patterns and prints,” says Daniel, who has 22 years of experience in the retail industry. “We’re getting out of the dirty jeans look and into a more polished, cleaner look. As for women’s wear, it went from overexposed to a more sophisticated, cleaner, lady-like look.”
