Tapestries by Hauoli rings in the holidays with a newly renovated store at Ala Moana Center. The store, which is located on the first floor between Foodland and the U.S. Post Office, was closed for one month between September and October. “We needed to freshen up the store,” says Lorraine Wong, president and co-buyer (with sister Anita Young). “We have new flooring and new lighting. Everybody loves the new look.”

Tapestries by Hauoli, which is locally owned and operated, has been at Ala Moana Center for more than 10 years. There is also a store at Pearlridge (uptown, near Macy’s).

“Our store is for stylish women who appreciate natural fibers, such as silk, linen and cotton,” says Wong. “That’s why I call it Tapestries, it’s interweaving comfort with style. Everybody says the store is really about people who appreciate comfort.”

At Tapestries by Hauoli, you’ll find brands such as Flax, which is known for its comfortable linen clothing from Europe, and Citron (for men and women) featuring beautiful graphics and prints on washable silk. Other brands include Kinu, Chie and Glima.

“We also have a lot of bags, including ethnic bags, and shawls,” adds Wong. “Also, we have a lot of reversible jackets, holiday gift items, and I just got a new shipment of Flax limited edition linens from Europe.”

Featured here are some of the newest arrivals at Tapestries by Hauoli. For more information, call 973-0566.
