Teen Fashions at Macy’s
Wednesday - April 02, 2008
Macy’s Ala Moana presented a teen fashion show earlier this month featuring the hottest new looks for spring from its THISIT and Young Men’s departments.
According to Macy’s, trends for spring 2008 include vibrant color statements (such as cobalt blue, tomato red, citron yellow, kelly green, royal purple and punchy orange), abstract and overblown graphic and floral prints, neutrals in an organic fashion (such as vegetal tones, natural fibers and geometric designs), and touches of femininity. Key pieces include a shirt dress, wide-leg pants and pops of color.
For the boys, plaid shirts and shorts and camouflage pants continue to be a popular choice.
Featured here are some of the hottest trends for teens this spring available at Macy’s and modeled by several of the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii Youth of the Year finalists and members of Sassy Magazine‘s Teen Board.
The annual Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii Youth of the Year competition offers exceptional clubhouse teens the opportunity to undergo a series of fun and challenging workshops designed to foster leadership, self-confidence, poise and interview skills. All finalists and the winner will be honored at the annual Youth of the Year luncheon on April 26 at 11 a.m. at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. Ticket price for the luncheon is $30, and tickets are available by calling 949-4203.
