Tiare Hawaii

Local designer Jane Hoskins of Tiare Hawaii (inset photo) has been invited to the exclusive 2012 Academy Awards Celebrity Red Carpet Style Lounge Feb. 24 at the L’Ermitage Beverly Hills hotel, where some of Hollywood’s most fashionable stars will be in attendance.
“We are really honored to be invited and are looking forward to the event,” says Hoskins. “It’s for the Academy Awards nominees and other A-list celebrities. We will have a booth there, they can try on the clothes if they want to, and we will be giving out little gift bags.”
Hoskins, a North Shore resident who studied biology and fashion design at the University of Hawaii, was inspired to start Tiare Hawaii while traveling the globe with her best friend who is a flight attendant.
“I wanted to incorporate the colors and beauty of nature, my love for travel and the feel of Hawaii into something that I can share with others,” says Hoskins about her fashions.
“Every piece is an inspiration, from the hand-dyed fabrics, to eyelet details, to the flow of the dresses reflecting the waterfalls nearby all are inspired by the natural beauty of Hawaii. It’s made by hand with love for those beachy days in the sun or balmy nights under the stars.”
Hoskins also has been busy with Tiare Hawaii’s new spring collection to be released in a few weeks. She also will be attending her first trade show, the Pool Trade Show at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas next month.
Tiare Hawaii can be found in various boutiques across the state, as well as on the Mainland and overseas, including in California, New York, Texas, England, Japan and Dominican Republic. On Oahu, it’s carried at Aloha Aina in Waikiki, Fighting Eel, Flower Child, LMS Boutique in Manoa, North Shore Surf Shop and San Lorenzo.
