For your listening pleasure, Kamehameha Schools has gathered some of Hawaii’s best musicians to perform with their very own talented keiki at their 78th annual Ho’olaule’a.
The list includes Pilioha, LT Smooth, Kaukahi, Kalapana, Maunalua, Thick Tubes, Kamehameha Schools Marching Band, KS Concert Glee, KS Hawaiian Ensemble and KS Children’s Choir.
Happening tomorrow (Feb. 23) on campus grounds, more specifically the Konia Field and Ka’ahumanu parking lot, the all-out Hawaiian celebration is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, parking is free and a free shuttle service will run continuously through the campus, Damien Memorial and the Kamehameha Schools Terminal.
This year’s theme, “E Malama Kekahi i Kekahi - Caring for One Another,” is a reminder of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop’s love for her people and the need to continue caring for each other and the world.

Sponsored by the Kamehameha Schools Association of Teachers and Parents, the daylong event will also include activities such as Xtreme Inflatables, dunking booths, games, rides and even a teen sound stage. There will also be a special performance of Willy Wonka by the KS Drama Department in the Ke’elikolani Auditorium.
And would a cultural celebration be without a great selection of food?
On the menu are Healthy Haven treats, yakitori sticks, Korean plate lunch, fried noodles, watercress stew bowl, Hawaiian plate, Sweet Shoppe delights and malasadas.
Food items, plants, haku lei, clothes and other specialties will also be on sale at the Country Store, Garden Shop and booths on site.
