Speaking of clubs, Windward heads have happily come together to create two new comedy shows at the Princess Kaiulani every Friday and Saturday night. Kailua comedian Bo Irvine and Laie’s Chief Sielu Avea present to you Comedy Polynesia at 7:30 p.m. followed by Sharkey’s Comedy Club at 9 (864-4662). The pair always knew of Polynesia’s great comic potential, and now they’re getting it done, encouraged by former Windward residents Eddie and Charlotte Sax and Irvine’s Sharkey’s Comedy Club partner Wanda Shipp. “There’s so much humor in Polynesia,” says Sielu, a veteran fire knife dancer and “coconut man” at PCC, “and up till now I’ve had to keep most of it under the surface, bottled up. Now Bo and I finally have the perfect outlet” ... Kainalu Elementary is digging the “being green” thing, but it needs more help with shoveling open the holes and planting trees on Earth Day - at 8:30 a.m. next Tuesday.
