David Torraca,who retired last fall from the Air Force, got to put his uniform back on to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross recently. According to David’s dad, Lou Torraca of Aikahi, David’s now a civilian worker with the 1st Special Operations Wing. He was a gunship crew member helping a SEALS team that came under machine gun fire in September 2007 in Iraq. He and two fellow crewmen were honored for their successful air support of that mission (i.e. no lives lost) ...
