The farewells have begun for Kaneohe drama pro Mark Lutwak and his playwright wife, Y York. In October Mark will become the new education director for the historic and award-winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. He’ll produce the school touring season, manage a theater series for youths and oversee several classes, camps and internships. Among many other things here, Mark was artistic director at Honolulu Theatre for Youth for several years; he played keyboards for Kupa’aina and directed HPR’s Aloha Shorts program. To some residents, they may have been just a couple walking their dogs along Haiku Road, but we shall miss their many and varied creative projects that have enriched live theater in the Islands ...
