Look for Castle High graduate Glenn Matsuki, 59, in the Pasadena Rose Parade Jan. 1. He’ll be riding the Donate Life float. Ever since his heart transplant 14 years ago, Glenn’s been a strong advocate for donors. Plus, he now works for One Legacy, a donor transplant network in Southern California. “Transplantation is my passion and my mission,” he explains. “I am here only because another family blessed me by donating the heart of someone they loved” ...
The Board of Water Supply’s 2010 calendars are in (a good investment for the new year), and they’re full of youthful talent from Windward Oahu. Out of 3,500 poster entries and 200 poems, the water folks picked only a dozen of each to grace the calendar pages on the theme “Ola I Ka Wai - Water Gives Life” (738-5369).
