Not all military personnel were playing war games during RIMPAC. About 13 Marines and Sailors (possibly fortified by Senee’s gourmet fare) spent July 14 sprucing up the Weinberg homeless shelter in Waimanalo. They painted speed bumps, handicapped signs and basketball court lines. As Nino Miranda told the Hawaii Marine, “Most of the Marines feel they’ve done combat so it’s time to help out in other ways also” ...

After much digging and pouring, he earned his badge, and campers have a safer place to make their s’mores ...
