Some Help In The Bedroom

You know, when friends or relatives come in from out of town, chances are that they are going to check into Hotel Nagasawa. That’s OK with me because for as long as I can remember growing up, our house has always been the gathering place for our friends, family and neighbors.
My wife’s niece and son were coming into town and planned to stay with us for a few days. This translates into my wife going into a cleaning and decorating frenzy. She was telling me about our lack of pillows and yes, I was actually listening.
Since we needed extra pillows for our guests, my wife decided that we should get some new pillows for our bedroom. Our bedroom color scheme is pretty masculine - black, white and gray. She felt like we needed some color and told me she wanted some blue pillows.
I decided to surprise her so after work one day, I stopped at a major retailer for some blue pillows. As I walked through the home decor and bedding section, a woman approached me and asked if I needed some assistance. I figured any help I could get would be a blessing.
This is exactly what I said, “I desperately need blue pillows. My wife is tired of the same old thing in our bedroom and I want to do something that will make her really happy.” When I looked at the saleswoman, she was looking down trying to suppress some major laughter.
I asked what was so funny and she apologized saying that it sounded like I wanted blue pills. I thought back to what I said and suddenly saw the humor in what she was probably thinking. She went around the department, picked out three different blue pillows and brought them to me.
I looked at her with all seriousness and proudly announced, “Nah, that’s OK, I don’t need ‘em!”
