It’s all about art at the 11th annual Haleiwa Arts Festival Summer Arts Festival, set for July 19 and 20 on the town’s shoreline.

“(It’s) all at Haleiwa Beach Park, which is a really beautiful venue. And not only is it fun, it’s free,” said Gary Anderson, the festival’s executive director.

More than 140 juried visual artists and crafters, from Hawaii, the Mainland and international locations, will showcase their original works and limited editions in various media, including sculpture, water-color, wood, jewelry, glass, photography and more. Items will be available for purchase directly from the artists

A variety of musicians, dancers and storytellers will entertain on stage throughout the weekend. Also planned are art demonstrations and displays, chalk art, hands-on children’s activities and cultural history trolley tours through Haleiwa town. Food is available, as well as limited-edition poster prints and T-shirts.

Several North Shore businesses and galleries will host special events, attractions and promotions through the weekend.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 19, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 20. Parking is available at the beach park. For more information, call 637-2277 or visit www.haleiwaartsfestival.org.
