Below are some highlights of what’s coming up in the Central Oahu community.
* Financial Management Services presents Income for Retirement workshops at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 and 21 at Mililani High. Call 622-1634.
* Hawaii Okinawa Center hosts “the largest indoor bon dance” from 5 to 10 p.m. Sept. 16 at 94-587 Ukee St. The free event is also the last of the season.Call 676-5400.
* The Hawaii Polo Club presents family attractions, entertainment and plenty of polo each Sunday at 2 p.m. on the Mokuleia polo field. Military Appreciation Day is Sept. 17 when those with military ID will be admitted free and can buy $1 beers. General admission is $7. Call 637-8401.
* Certified eBay specialist Kevin Kobayashi and his wife Sasisopin conduct a class at 6 p.m. Sept. 18-19 at Wahiawa Community School on “How to Get Started on eBay.” Fee is $8 plus $12 for the textbook. Call 783-6933.
* The Wahiawa Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at Wahiawa District Park; the Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley board meets at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 in Mililani Mauka Elementary cafeteria; the North Shore board at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at John Kalili Surf Center; and Mililani-Waipio-Melemanu at 7:30 p.m Sept. 27 at Mililani Rec Center III. * The city Planning Commission holds a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the City Hall Annex to consider a permit request from Coral Wireless to co-locate telecommunication facilities at 990 Whitmore Ave. Call 523-4430.
* The Attorney General’s staff will process state ID applications from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30 at Mililani High. Call 587-3112.
* Waialua Library has an exhibit of four area artists on view through Oct. 28, with a portion of sales proceeds going to the library fund. Artists are sculptor Angelika Veach and painters Joel Martin Veach, Dale Andres and Elaine Merry Kam. Call 637-7446.
