Below are some highlights of what’s happening in the Central Oahu community for the next few weeks.

* BOARDS The Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. May 15 at Mililani Mauka Elementary School cafeteria; Wahiawa, 7 p.m. May 21 at Wahiawa District Park, Hale Koa building; North Shore, 7 p.m. May 22 at Alii Beach Park; and the Mililani-Waipio-Melemanu, 7:30 p.m. May 23 at Mililani Rec Center III; Call 527-5749.


* FOOTBALL Aspiring college athletes have until May 18 to apply for the Education 1st summer football camps, set for July 5-7 at BYU-Hawaii. Call 293-7700 or 391-2039.

* BLOOD The Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at Waialua High School gym; 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 19, and June 2 and 16 at Mililani Town Center; from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 13 at Mililani Tech Park; and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 13 at Wahiawa General Hospital. * STORIES Waialua Library presents a free storytime and activities for children at 10 a.m. Saturdays in May. Call 637-8286.

* HIKE The Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club leads a 6-mile intermediate hike to Paumalu ridge at 8 a.m. June 2; and also a 9-mile intermediate hike to Pupukea summit the same day. Go to www.htmclub.org
