Below are some highlights of what’s happening in the Central Oahu community over the next few weeks.

* GIRLS DAY Wahiawa Library screens a free “Mystery Princess Movie” for Girls Day at 6 p.m. March 4. Wear pink or dress as a princess. Call 622-6345.

* BOE MEETS The state Board of Education meets at 3:30 p.m. March 6 at Wahiawa Middle School and again at 7 p.m. Call 586-3332.

* PLANT DOCTOR Wahiawa Botanical Garden has a free session with “the plant doctor” at 9 a.m. March 7. Bring a photo or description of your sick plant or tree for a diagnosis. Call 621-5463.

* PUPPET SHOW Joe Pipik and his Backyard Puppets put on a free show for preschoolers at 10 a.m. March 7 at Waialua Library. Call 637-8286. * GOLF SIGNUPS Deadline is March 7 to sign up for the Mililani Project Grad golf tour-ney, set for April 4 at Mililani Golf Course. Fee is $125 per player or $400 for three. * SOFTBALL TOURNEYS The SlowPitch Softball Tournament of Champions Qualifiers for adult men are set for March 7-9, 14-16, 28-30 and April 4-6 at Central Oahu Regional Park. Call Jon at 227-8130.

* FREE SYMPHONY Maestro Aaron Mahi and the Honolulu Symphony have a free concert at 7 p.m. March 12 at BYUH Cannon Activities Center, also featuring the BYUH Concert Choir, Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus, Kahuku High choirs and the Koolauloa Children’s Chorus. Call 792-2000.

* BLOOD DRIVE Hawaii Blood Bank has a donor drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 15 in the Mililani High gym. Call 845-9966. * CRUISE NIGHT Hawaii Independent Cruise Nights presents a Cruise Night from 6 to 10 p.m. March 15 at Breakers in Haleiwa with all the “big boy toys” on display. Call 689-8673.

* NEIGHBORS The Wahiawa Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. March 17 in the Halekoa building at Wahiawa District Park; the Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley board meets at 7 p.m. March 18 in the Mililani Mauka Elementary School cafeteria; and the North Shore board meets at 7 p.m. March 25 at Alii Beach Park.
