* GREEN HOUR Wahiawa Botanical Garden offers a “green hour” activity for families at 2:30 p.m. each Wednesday from Oct. 29 through Dec. 10, giving folks an outdoor break from TV, computers and video games. Call 621-5463.
* VETERANS MARCH The annual Wahiawa Veterans Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 on California Avenue, marching from Kaala Elementary School to Wahiawa District Park, where post-parade ceremonies and speeches are planned. Call 621-0115.
* SCHOOL, LIBRARY CLOSURES All public schools and libraries are closed Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 11 and from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at Mililani Town Center; and from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Wahiawa General Hospital. Call 845-9966.
* STORYTELLERS Storyteller Nyla Fujii-Babb and dancer Yukie Shiroma present the free show, McDermott in Motion, at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Mililani Library for ages 5 and older. Call 627-7470.

* ABC CRAFT FAIR Mililani High School’s ABC Craft Fair is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 22, offering dozens of vendors plus the school’s own colorful, recycled plastic eco-tote bags for $4 each.
* ART WALK Haleiwa presents its monthly Haleiwa Art Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 29 throughout the town with live entertainment, featured artists, pupus and sidewalk sales. Call 637-4558.
